step motor problem

שמי יוסי אני חדש בתחום ויש לי בעיה בהבנה של משהו ולכן אשמח לעזרה.

אני שולט על מנוע צעד דרך מיקרו בקר ודרייבר (סה"כ 4 קווים). נתקלתי בבעיה שנמשכה המון זמן ולבסוף נפתרה לי מבלי שהצלחתי להבין למה בדיוק ולכן אני מבקש עזרה בלהבין את הבעיה שהייתה לי ואיך הפיתרון שיישמתי אכן עזר.
להלן הבעיה :
המנוע שלי מחובר למספר גלגלי שיניים. כחלק מבדיקה של האלגוריתם שלי נדרשתי להזיז את המנוע מספר צעדים קבוע (10 צעדים) לכיוון אחד מספר קבוע של פעמים (20 פעמים) ולאחר מכן להזיזו לכיוון שני מספר צעדים קבוע (10 צעדים) מספר קבוע של פעמים (20 פעמים). כלומר המנוע היה זז לכיוון האחד סה"כ 200 צעדים ולאחר מכן לכיוון שני גם כן 200 צעדים ולבסוף לחזור לאותה נקודה בדיוק. דבר נוסף שיש לציין הוא שלאחר כל 10 צעדים אני נדרש להכניס את המנוע למצב "שינה" (מוצאי 4 קווי הדרייבר הינם "0" לוגי) לפרק זמן קצר ואז ממשיך את התנועה.
שליטת המנוע הייתה ב-4 צירופי צעדים (FULL STEPPING) לפי טבלת האמת של הדרייבר.
דבר נוסף הוא שלאחר שהייתי מקדם או מחסר (תלוי בכיוון התנועה) את צעדי המנוע הייתי דואג לשמור בזיכרון (EEPROM) את המצב האחרון בו המנוע היה (את הצירוף הלוגי של 4 קווי הדרייבר) וכאשר הייתי יוצא ממצב "שינה" הייתי שולף מזיכרון את הצעד האחרון בו הייתי וממשיך אל הצעד הבא בתור.
בפועל מה שהיה קורה הוא שהמנוע לא היה אל נקודת ההתחלה בסיום כל התנועה שלו (400 צעדים) אלא היה נעצר כל פעם בצורה אקראית המקום אחר. זו הבעיה בה נתקלתי זמן רב מאד !!!!
הפיתרון שלבסוף עזר הוא : ברגע היציאה ממצב "שינה" הייתי שולף מזיכרון את הצעד האחרון בו הייתי ואז הייתי חוזר עליו שוב פעם ורק אז הייתי ממשיך אל הצעד הבא בתור.
כלומר לאחר כיבוי המנוע והדלקתו מחדש חייב לחזור אל המצב בו הייתי ורק אז להתקדם.

את הפיתרון קיבלתי מיצרן מנועים בחו"ל אך לא הצלחתי להבין את התשובה שלו (רצ"ב) :
"The motor does not move in sleeping mode. It is when you start with a wrong the rotor can move 2 steps further or 2 steps backward. That is why it is important to switch on and off with the same status. Commutation that you risk to loose you position. The sequence to rotate the motor is composed of 4 different statuses. If you mess with the commutation"

1. למה נדרש לחזור על הצעד האחרון בו הייתי לפני כיבוי המנוע ,לאחר הדלקתו מחדש ולא להמשיך אל הצעד הבא ברגע ההדלקה (בהנחה שהמנוע לא זז במצב כבוי) ?
