Franklin's slow-mo driving turns highway getaways from pure luck into something you can actually control, especially when you're dodging trucks at stupid speeds. Michael's bullet-time makes those messy shootouts in tight spaces way more manageable, letting you clear rooms without spraying every wall. Trevor's rage mode is just pure chaos, perfect for those moments when you stop caring about clean play and just want to bulldoze through waves of enemies. The clever bit is how these skills level up by being used, so the game nudges you to swap between characters instead of just sticking with whoever you like most. Over time you start thinking: this chase is a Franklin job, this raid feels like Michael work, this brutal cleanup is all Trevor.

All those unlocks – weapons, clothes, abilities – are basically the game's way of saying "slow down and explore" rather than sprint through the main story and call it done. Players who only follow the yellow markers finish the plot, sure, but they miss the strange side hustles, the hidden challenges, the extra upgrades that make the world feel alive.
