אתר הרובוטיקה הישראלי פועל רבות בעניין תחרויות רובוטיקה בארץ. תחרויות הרובונר הן המפותחות ביותר בארץ, ומתקיימות כבר מספר שנים בהשתתפות קבוצות רבות, וזה אך טבעי שבאתר רובוטיקה "ישראלי" יהיה ייצוג נכבד לתחרות הרובוטיקה הגדולה בארץ. צוות האתר שימש כצוות השיפוט בתחרות האחרונה שנערכה בטבריה, ואף ארגן תחרות מקדימה כחודש לפני התחרות הארצית (ברמת-גן). השנה נחזור כמובן על פעילות זו.

לאחרונה הוקם חלק חדש באתר - הנוגע לתחרות הרובוקאפ. תחרות זו הינה אירוע בינ"ל הנערך השנה בפורטוגל, וגם אליו נארגן השנה לראשונה בארץ תחרות מקדימה של כל הקבוצות בארץ המשתתפות בתחרות זו.

כפי שאתה יכול לראות, פועלינו בעניין תחרויות רובוטיקה וארגונן הוא נרחב, ואינני מבין היכן טענתך, הרי איננו יכולים לארגן את כל הסוגים של תחרויות הרובוטיקה (יש הרבה...). התחרויות שנבחרו, רובונר ורובוקאפ, נבחרו בקפידה רבה ולא על ידינו, מסיבות שקצרה היריעה לפרטן כאן.

הייתי רוצה להוסיף כמה מילים בעניין התחרות "רובוטיקה" של ערוץ דיסקברי, ותחרויות בסגנון דומה: ה-"רובוטים" המוצגים בתחרויות אלו הינם למעשה סוג של מכוניות על שלט רחוק. כבודם במקומם מונח, אך הם אינם רובוטים לפי הגדרתינו. באתר זה, אנו מתייחסים לרובוטים כבעלי יכולת קבלת החלטות עצמאית, על סמך מידע המתקבל מהסביבה באמצעות חיישנים. אציין בהזדמנות זו, כי האתר מוקדש בעיקר ל-"רובוטים ניידים" בניגוד ל-"מניפולטורים", שהם זרועות רובוטיות מקובעות במקום.

ברצוני להוסיף לדבריו של עמיתי לאתר גיא. כן גם פה באתר ישנן דעות לגבי המושג רובוט, והודעה זו מתאימה גם לשאלה אחרת בפורום "הגדרה של רובוטיקה" .
כפי שאני רואה זאת , התחרויות של אותם כביכול "רובוטים" שאתה רואה - זה הכל מכוניות בשלט רחוק וזה רחוק ממה שאנו מתיימרים לבצע. "מכונית" בשלט רחוק כבר מזמן עשיתי עם רובוט ומקלדת של מחשב. זה לא אתגרי וזה לא מתוחכם.
